EVA Air Business Class

Introduction

Before ANA deprecated their Round The World award ticket structure, I was able to score an amazing deal in business class for 4 flights. So naturally I was stoked when I had the chance to fly from Milan to Taipei in business class, especially for such a long flight. If you get the opportunity, you should definitely fly in business class in this cabin!

Interior, SEAT, and AMenities

In preparation for the flight and when I arrived at the airport, there is no dedicated business class lounge at MXP. That was a bummer because I was hoping to try a specific business class lounge, instead of the typical Star Alliance lounge that I usually visit.

I was in seat 8K, which was in the front portion of the business class cabin, on the right side. If you are traveling solo you should try to pick an odd number row (which I failed to realize) since you could get more privacy. But, honestly any seat in business class is amazing.

When I got to my seat, the flight attendant greeted me by name and asked for my pre-departure drink order, gave me a hot towel, and what I wanted for my meal. Overall, the seat was roomy but I did feel like there was some less room near the foot well. But, I'm a small guy so it was totally fine.

The seat controls were pretty standard, where you could have a "recline" position or a "lie flat" position. They also gave you very comfortable pajamas by Jason Wu (which I actually took home, since they were so comfy but I'm not entirely sure if you can do that). They also gave you slippers.

The amenity kit was incredibly cute as well, which I liked. They gave you a few more things than the usual amenity kit, like your classic toiletries but also a tote bag and a belt, which was interesting. The kit was pretty sturdy.

Menu, takeoff, and dinner

When I was asked what I wanted to eat, I was honestly a little overwhelmed since the options looked so good. There were a lot of drink options and I don't usually drink, but I tried the Champagne Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle NV. I also tried one of the mocktails, which was also incredibly good!

I ended up choosing the braised beef brisket, which was incredibly good. I wished I could had tried more food.

SNacks, bedtime, and breakfast

During the course of the flight, I slept a little bit and the flight attendant helped me set up my bed. I ended up trying the instant noodles (since honestly, noodles hit way better at 35,000 ft) and the mascarpone cappellacci. Both snacks were incredibly tasty!

For breakfast, I chose the congee because I love a good congee and even that was incredibly great. Overall, I could had totally starved myself before this flight and then I would had been completely filled up.

premium economy

On a completely separate note, the flight I had right after this one was TPE-SGN in Premium Economy because booking PE was actually cheaper than Economy, if you could believe it. So I jumped on the opportunity.

Overall, the B777-300ER was your typicall 2-4-2 PE configuration, where there was a small amenity kit at my seat. The flight was pretty ordinary, but the meal was a significant upgrade from an Economy meal.

If the price was right, I would book this again on a short haul but nothing more. PE on EVA was also a good experience!
